There were many new products at the third edition of the Venice Boat Show. One of these was certainly the début of Arcadia Yachts. The iconic shipyard founded by Ugo Pellegrino decided to display on the piers, one of its most successful models. This is the Sherpa 80, the 24 metre yacht which has recently sold its fourth unit, characterised by its complete connection with the marine environment.
The concept of a pocket megayacht, typical of the Arcadia range, has evolved to reach the highest standards. With its sporty and elegant profile, the Sherpa 80 has 221 square metres of real surface area.
Its large exterior spaces include the 62 m2 stern, with easy access to the water and a 36m2 solarium on the floor above. Along the aft deck is a lateral garage which can house a 4 metre tender and a water toy. In order not to lose touch with nature, even the sky lounge (36m2) imitates the external living area, with a dining area surrounded by sliding glass walls, limiting the need for air conditioning and illuminating the room with plenty of natural light.
According to the brand’s philosophy, respect for nature is a fundamental aspect to be found both in the interior and exterior spaces. For this reason, Arcadia Yachts has focused on solar power. The forward living area has over 30m2 of solar panels.
“On the Sherpa 80 – explains Francesco Ansalone, marketing manager for Arcadia Yachts, to Daily Nautica – we can produce from 2.5 to 3 kW of electricity. The solar panels guarantee a certain autonomy for main utilities such as LED lights, recharging electronic devices, the fridge, as well as the air conditioning pumps.”
