In a few days the Vieux Port and Port Canto will play host to the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022, allowing the public of professionals, hobbyists, and enthusiasts to enjoy 650 vessels built by some of the most important international shipyards.

The French boat show, for which Daily Nautica is media partner, will open its doors on 6 September and close on Sunday 11 September. “At fifteen days before opening – says Sylvie Ernoult, festival director – we are eager to greet our exhibitors and visitors. Set up began on 8 August and everything is going well: the pontoons and tents are being placed in their final positions to welcome boats and stands. We still have two weeks of intense work for our team. I would like to  thank our partners, the city of Cannes, the Palais des Festivals, IGY Marina and our suppliers, who are working by our side to prepare this new and beautiful iteration.

An event not to be missed for luxury boating over the last 45 years, the Yachting Festival attracts around 55 thousand visitors every year, coming from all over the world, as well as over 600 exhibitors. The event, one of the most eclectic, hosts nearly 650 boats: from the smallest to the largest, sail boats (120 single and multi hull units), motor boats, single and multi hulls, new units, and large brokerage yachts reaching 50 metres.

The Yachting Festival brings together all the major players in the industry who come to showcase their nearly 140 world premières. Visitors can enjoy a show with a diverse and rich display. This year, the event will once again be divided by vessel type: motor boats and related accessories will be on display in the Vieux Port, while Port Canto will showcase sailing models.

Habitués will once again see the Luxury Gallery at the Vieux Port, an area dedicated to luxury and lifestyle, and, at the other end of the Croisette, Port Canto, in the “Yacht Brokerage & Charter” area, alongside some of the biggest yachts in the show, will also have the “Toys” sections, for all kinds of water toys. Instead, the Green Route will display environmentally efficient solutions developed by exhibitors in order to reduce the environmental impact of the boating industry on marine ecosystems. A free water taxi service, accessible by all visitors and exhibitors, will be in place to connect the two ports.

For the second year in a row, ticketing to the Yachting Festival will be 100% digital. Therefore, no tickets will be sold on site. Visitors, professionals and the media are invited to pre-register before arrival. A valid electronic ticket with QR code will need to be presented, either printed or on your smartphone.
