The flames have won and unfortunately the  megayacht, Lady MM, a 48-metre built by Isa Yachts, has sunk.

The devastating fire which broke out in the morning of Tuesday 25 August, while the vessel was sailing from Capri to Porto Cervo, at 50 miles off the coast of Capo Comino, in Sardinia, left no chance of escape.

On board were 17 people, including 9 crew members and 8 passengers, who were all from Kazakhstan. They saved themselves when they reached the coast, in Siniscola, on board a tender.

In the images filmed by the Coast Guard helicopter and patrol boat, are the final moments of the Lady MM, before it sank into the sea, engulfed in flames.
