Liguria Nautica found the m/y Madsummer in the waters off Porto Santo Stefano
The mega yacht, Madsummer has been sighted by one of Liguria Nautica’s partners, Claudio Colombo, in the waters off Porto Santo Stefano, at the Argentario. It is 95 metres long, flying the Marshall Islands flag, and was launched in 2019 by Lurssen.
The shipyard, based in Germany, specialises in making luxury yachts, like the Azzam belonging to Prince Al-Waleed, a multi-billionaire entrepreneur belonging to the Saudi Arabian royal family, the Rising Sun and Octopus belonging to Paul Allen (co-founder of Microsoft), as well as military vessels, including the fast patrol boats FPB-57, TNC-45 and Tiger.
Madsummer, initially designed to be 85 metres long, was then extended to 95 during its 18-month design phase. It has a steel and aluminium hull capable of accommodating 12 passengers in its 10 cabins, in addition to its 28 crew members.
The interiors are a mix of elegance and luxury; Lurssen chose the style of Laura Sessa Romboli, a well-loved Italian interior designer, while Harrison Eidsgaard designed the perfectly harmonised exterior, with its 14 metres in width balancing out its length. The décor of the 6 guest cabins is splendid, each one with a different coloured theme (aquamarine, orange, purple, etc.).
Madsummer can reach a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 17 knots; it has an autonomy of 6,000 nm, thanks to its 300,000 litre fuel tanks. The stern houses a 12-metre pool and a relaxation area with a whirlpool. The area is raised up three steps and sheltered by glass.
The three decks, a symphony of elegance, colour and detail inspired by the sea, house, on the lower deck, the beach club, a wellbeing area, and an elegant terrace overlooking the sea. The top deck has a walkable skylight and a fireplace. The Madsummer also has a cinema and play room for children. The heliport is to the bow, while the aft sun deck hides a crane for manoeuvring tenders.
To hire this splendid mega yacht, the perfect coming together of luxury, relaxation and fun, you will need 1 million, 400 thousand dollars a week.
