The megayacht, Admiral Armani 72, one of the most iconic vessels designed fully by Giorgio Armani, officially has a new owner. According to reports by Glitz Paris, the Del Vecchio family, heirs to the Luxottica empire (a glasses company founded by Leonardo Del Vecchio), finalised their purchase of the 72-metre built by The Italian Sea Group.
As noted by Glitz, the decision by the family of entrepreneurs to invest in this particular yacht, is due to the fact that Luxottica was recently found to be included in the stylist’s will as one of the possible future shareholders of the famous fashion label.
The acquisition of the Admiral Armani 72 is also a way to celebrate a masterpiece of design and naval engineering made in Italy. A perfect union of refined style and boating excellence, the design is a harmonious balance between minimalist aesthetics and advanced technology, created to redefine the canons of luxury yachting.
CUTTING EDGE DESIGN
The exterior of the Admiral Armani 72 has a decisive architectural character, where geometric volumes alternate with soft surfaces, embodying the minimalist and scrupulous vision of the stylist. The upper decks are like suspended terraces, with spaces designed to provide full freedom of use and versatility: from outdoor living to the helipad, each element combines functionality and elegance.
Even the interior spaces are laid out to provide privacy and comfort, with a full beam owner’s suite complete with collapsible balcony, wellbeing areas and a panoramic pool on the forward deck. With an owner’s deck of around 180 square metres, the Admiral Armani 72 can accommodate up to 14 guests and 20 crew members.
