The latest unit of the B.Now 67M with Oasis Deck, the FB287 has been launched from Bennetti’s Livorno shipyard. A 67-metre megayacht that represents a milestone for the shipyard through its versatile layout and a completely tailor made interior. For this new design, Benetti worked closely with studio, RWD for the exterior, with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design for the interior and with Engage Maritime as the owner’s representative.
“The launch of the FB287 – says Daniela Petrozzi, Sales Director for Benetti – marks the final shape of the B.Now 67M Oasis Deck: a yacht with exceptional characteristics and numerous custom elements to satisfy the specific needs and tastes of our client. Through our collaborative work with the owner and his representatives at Engage Maritime, FB287 showcase the shipyard’s skills and the possibilities for clients to create yachts that embody their desires, creating a unique lifestyle. The constructive communication of ideas led to an extraordinary result in building this superyacht.”
A tailor made megayacht
The FB287 showcases the flexibility of the B.Now platform by Benetti, with a number of elements being adapted to satisfy the needs of a client who wanted a highly personalised interior. Indeed, there are a number of custom elements: the custom rectangular lift, the central staircase in marble with glass balustrade, personalised fire doors for the cabins, and custom pools including the infinity pool on the Oasis Deck, the pool and spa on the Observation Deck and the 40-centimetre deep pool on the owner’s deck.
Other distinctive elements include a gym and spa with sauna, Turkish bath and massage parlour on the Lower Deck, a Main Saloon with grand piano overlooking the cockpit and the Oasis Deck, and the entire Upper Deck reserved for the owner, with a suite to the bow and private office and saloon to the stern.
Continuity between interior and exterior
The B.Now 67M was created to erase the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, all through a refined style. For this yacht, the team from Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, who created a yacht in a light colour palette during the original concept, reinterpreted the design so as to include dark panelling, lacquer finishes and contrasting tones. The strong visual impact of the FB287 showcases the design talent of the team and the shipyard’s skill in creating spaces that communicate harmoniously with the marine environment.
Although the original concept of the B.Now 67M included natural, light-coloured materials, the owner asked to step away from this style to create a yacht with an evocative, rich style, with a bit of shine. The studio adopted and reinterpreted the “Gatsby” style, creating contemporary spaces, using rich materials and finishes in a harmonious manner. In order to achieve this, wood such as sycamore, ebony, wenge, ziricote, and macassar ebony was used, in addition to a selection of marble and metallic inserts.
The style of the interior is spread harmoniously throughout the entire passenger area, both for stylistic coherence and to highlight the equality of all those who live on board. The team began from the main saloon, the staircase and the owner’s suite, transferring those elements throughout the rest of the yacht. The custom staircase is one of the iconic elements of the FB287, as it marks a transition of style from the dark tones of the passenger area to the lighter ones of the staircase, refined in Calacatta marble with metal inserts. The glass balustrade, a custom element that required incredible skill during manufacture, defines the identity of the yacht, becoming a work of art on board.
Delivery of the FB287 is scheduled for the summer, after it has undergone testing and outfitting is complete.
