BYD shares the first concept images of the “Bravo 75”: a super yacht inspired by sail boats

A streamlined design, interior comforts and triple hybrid propulsion are part of the project for this super yacht equipped with a heliport

Inspired by streamlined sail boats, the super yacht, Bravo 75 was revealed by Bravo Yacht Design Group (BYD), a studio for naval architecture and engineering, based in Barcelona and Palma de Majorca, in Spain.


Tià Simó and Raúl Gonzalo, the creators, co-founders and owners of the Spanish brand, pushed at the boundaries of design with this innovative vessel: 75 metres long, with the longer hull profile inspired by sail boats, they willingly stepped away from the traditional aesthetic of motoryachts, as can also be seen in the curves of the bow and stern. A choice that did not preclude quality and comfort on board, both during sailing or at anchor.

To the compact and aerodynamic look, corresponds the bright and airy interior, opening to the outside through large windows. “The design process – notes Tià Simó concentrated exclusively on the visual perceptions of the owner over the surrounding environment, which happens on sailing yachts. An aspect we are always working on, so that our clients can feel connected to nature”.


The cabins (owner, VIP, three doubles and a twin for a total of 12 people) are located mostly on the lower deck to the bow, to avoid noise coming from the engine room, while the rooms for the captain and crew are located on the bottom deck.

Lateral access allows for the storage of any type of water toys, without affecting the living spaces or the view outside, while the rear deck is designed to be a large sundeck with easy access to the water, seeing as a large part for the forward deck is taken up by the heliport.

A strong point of this concept – explain Simó and Gonzalois the flybridge, which represents the heart of the yacht. The space dedicated to the hot tub is modular and guarantees a great view over the sea. Thanks to the sliding glass walls, passengers can enjoy nature, no matter what the weather, while having the feeling of being outside, even though they aren’t. In addition, every guardrail is enamelled, so as to eliminate any obstruction of the view.


The vessel has triple hybrid propulsion (diesel, hydrogen, azimuth thruster), making it versatile and efficient, but at the same time silent and ecologically sustainable. In addition, it can also be refuelled anywhere in the world, if there are no electric or hydrogen stations available.
