Valentino Rossi’s new yacht is a 27-metre long Sanlorenzo SX88. The launch took place in the Sanlorenzo shipyard in Ameglia, La Spezia, with the utmost discretion and it appears that “the Doctor” himself participated in the event via video.

However, before the 9 times world motorcycle racing champion can climb on board his new gem, he will need to wait a few weeks. Delivery has been planned for May. Before that, the shipyard will need to complete the bespoke changes requested by its famous owner.

HOW MUCH DOES VALENTINO ROSSI’S NEW YACHT COST?

Bespoke changes, it is revealed, that made the price double. The “base price” is 4.5 million euros, and has now reached 9 million euros, considering all the extras and bespoke changes requested by Valentino Rossi.

After all, Sanlorenzo’s objective is to build bespoke vessels for each owner, whose home could even be the starting point to create the contents of his “floating villa”. The La Spezia shipyard, when contacted by Liguria Nautica, neither confirmed nor denied the news.

Sanlorenzo SX88 is a “crossover for the sea.” The large beach area to the stern has ample space, so much so that it can also house large toys for exploring the water. The innovative wheelhouse, located exclusively on the flybridge, can be enclosed and acclimatised by electrically raising the side windows, leaving the main deck completely free, with no obstacles from bow to stern, creating an exclusive loft on a 27 metre yacht. Alternatively, a spacious owner’s suite can be placed on the main deck for a more intimate solution: an exclusive of the SX88 for a yacht of this size.

WHAT WILL BE THE YACHT’S NAME?

With an overall length of 26.7 metres, a width of 7.20 metres and a maximum speed of 23 knots, Valentino Rossi’s new yacht should have the name of “Titilla III”, following the succession of the “Titilla II”, preceded by the “Titilla”.

Speaking of Valentino Rossi, engines are also important. The Sanlorenzo SX88 has three IPS 1050 Volvo (800 HP) engines, with a fuel tank of 9,300 litres. 8 passengers can be hosted on board and up to 3 crew members.

The SX range was created in the Style Department at Sanlorenzo, together with the creative contribution of  Luca Santella, who came up with the idea for the range and studio Zuccon International Project, who curated the layout and external design. The waterlines are always guaranteed by Lou Codega, the American designer, known internationally for his fast fishing boats and ocean vessels.
