The Italian Sea Group has announced the delivery of the S/Y Katana, a 60-metre sailing ketch by Perini Navi, marking a new and important achievement for the relaunched brand, which has now been fully integrated into the group. Since it was acquired in January 2022, TISG has been working on promoting the brand with an industrial strategy focused on melding together artistry and cutting-edge technology, and Katana is a perfect example of this.

An efficient, versatile, and safe yacht

Designed for the shipyard Gamma Yachts, Katana is efficient, versatile and safe. It has a hull and superstructure in aluminium, mast and rigging in carbon fibre built by Southern Spars and a structural carbon fibre bowsprit. The retractable keel provides excellent performance even in shallow water, while the dynamic positioning system allows the sailor to safely hold position, without the need to drop anchor.

The interiors, curated by French designer Rémi Tessier and built by German company, Metrica, express a simple yet refined excellence. This extraordinary quality manifests in even the smallest details. Each room is made to measure, following a style of luxury that favours simplicity to ostentation, creating a balanced and harmonious atmosphere.
