The Italian Sea Group have announced the delivery of their new 78-metre Admiral megayacht, a masterpiece that combines art, technology and a sustainable vision
Flagship of the Admiral fleet, the Admiral 78 megayacht represents the apex of contemporary naval design, through a combination of sculptural elegance, cutting edge engineering solutions, and a refined aesthetic vision. This project is further confirmation of The Italian Sea Group’s skills in transforming the visions of their clients into singular masterpieces, bespoke, and dedicated to a demanding international clientele that requires excellence.
The design
The style design, for both interior and exterior, was curated by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, a renowned design studio in the industry. The studio has masterfully interpreted the client’s desire for fluidity, dynamism and purity in the design. Further enhancing the aesthetics of the hull is the refined two-tone metallic varnish, in bright white and blue, capturing natural light and making the yacht immediately recognisable anywhere.
The interior of the Admiral 78 reflect a sophisticated style, luxury materials, a delicate colour palette and curated finishes, creating a space of rare beauty. The bridge salon opens out over breathtaking views thanks to the large windows, providing an airy and relaxed atmosphere. The central dining area has a spectacular lighting fixture as a focal point, enhancing the elegance of the furniture.
The three deck layout, an unusual choice for a yacht of this size, provides a more sleek and sporty profile, without compromising on space and functionality. Completing the experience on board is a 6 metre pool, a private spa, a fully equipped gym, a diving area and a Touch & Go deck.
Technology and innovation
From the technical point of view, the yacht is equipped with an innovative diesel-electric propulsion system, which combines five variable speed generators with two 2 megawatt azimuth pods, for an overall power output of approximately 5 megawatts. This configuration ensures silent navigation, without vibrations, and high performance, with a maximum speed of 17 knots, as well as exceptional manoeuvrability during docking.
The lithium polymer batter pack carries out the function of peak shaving, avoiding the need to activate an additional generator in the case of intermittent high power consumption, and avoiding blackout when the unit is connected to the pier. It is also possible to power the entire yacht for several hours in silent mode with zero emissions, an advantage for both comfort and the environment.
Excellence, elegance and sustainability
The system, with variable rotation generators ensure high energy efficiency, contributing to reducing fuel consumption and environmental impact. This result is made possible also through the presence, for each generator, of an advanced filtering system, made up of SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter). All waste emissions are funneled to the top of the mast, providing optimal dispersion and improving air quality on board.
“This delivery – notes Gianmaria Costantino, CCO for The Italian Sea Group – represents a new, significant achievement for our Group. Each detail on this yacht reflects our vision of contemporary luxury, where excellent construction, elegant style, and sustainability all work in perfect harmony.”
