The Mangusta Oceano 39 unites contemporary style and generous spaces with a design geared to the pleasure of life at sea
On Thursday 26 June, in Viareggio, the fourth unit of the Mangusta Oceano 39 was launched – a yacht with three decks that renews and strengthens the international success of the Italian brand’s displacement series, which is particularly appreciated by the American market. Sold to an American owner who had previously used Mangusta for his ocean adventures, the vessel represents a custom design developed in close collaboration with the client and the shipyard’s design team.

Resulting from a partnership between the shipyard’s Technical Department and designer Alberto Mancini, the Mangusta Oceano 39 combines a contemporary style and generous spaces with a design geared to the pleasure of life at sea. The minimalist aesthetic, expressed through clean lines and glass gunwales on the upper deck, dialogues with bright and fluid spaces thanks to the full height windows that can be opened part way, creating continuity between the interior and exterior.
Among the strong points of the series, now recognised as “Standard Mangusta Design Features”, is the aft beach house, with lateral terraces at water level, creating a natural extension to the sea, and the iconic infinity pool, with a partial glass bottom to illuminate the owner’s suite below.
In this unit, the layout was modified in response to US market preference, introducing functional solutions like a transformable central bar in the main saloon, designed for socialising on board. In addition, the yacht is equipped with two MTU 16V 2000 M96L 2600 HP @ 2450 RPM engines, guaranteeing excellent performance and ampla autonomy for long voyages.
