The Custom Line Saetta 128’ is the new made-to-measure prototype in the Saetta line, which embraces all the brand’s planing yachts. Resulting from a collaboration between the Product Strategy Department and the Engineering Department of the Ferretti Group, this 39.80-metre tri-deck features new exterior styling and interior design, with generous spaces and top-tier comfort and refinement. The exterior styling is by SY Designs, while the interior is by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, with strategic consulting from Custom Line Atelier, the team of architects who define the spaces, style, and customisation of each yacht ordered by a Custom Line client.

The Custom Line Saetta 128’ is the result of a strategy that aims at expanding the company’s line of planing yachts, combining style, performance, versatility and customisation in all areas. Designed to maximise on-board liveability, the layout of spaces on each deck is optimised, combining aesthetics and functionality. The sleek, dynamic profile is accentuated by a sloping stern, that gives it a strong personality, while the large screen-printed windows in the saloons enhances the lightness of the design and the connection with the surrounding environment. The layout favours generous, eclectic solutions, with interior and exterior spaces interacting in perfect harmony.

The Custom Line Saetta 128’ – explains Giordano Pellacani, Chief Commercial Officer for Ferretti Group – perfectly embodies our approach to growth: raising the level of every project, in this case extending a hugely successful range while maximising its strong points.  We want to offer Custom Line owners ever-higher standards of wellbeing, liveability and personalisation of the onboard experience. Custom Line Saetta 128’ combines innovation, construction quality and tailored detailing. It is a magnificent tri-deck, unique in the world of high-end yachting.”

We are honoured – add Matteo Sassone and Veronica Yien, founders of SY Design – to be working with Custom Line on this first, exciting project. We were hugely motivated by the challenge. We had to create a new tri-deck model, but one with sporty, dynamic lines, because Custom Line Saetta 128’ has a planing hull, an unprecedented choice for a yacht this size. Our goal was to innovated the distinctive features of the range and integrate new character traits that can acts a springboard for the future.”

The interior design – notes Patricial Viel, architect co-founder of ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel – is perfectly in sync with the signature sleek hull lines of the new Saetta Line. The flowing design of the window frames and ceiling cut-outs, taken together with the sleek lines of the custom-built furnishings and free-standing pieces, gives the project a strong sense of dynamism. The construction details are at once basic and unrefined, featuring exquisite cabinetry and a meticulously tailored approach. The clean, essential lines tap into tradition, reinterpreted through contemporary language and timeless elegance.”

Main characteristics

The three-deck layout provides the ultimate in relaxation and fresh air lifestyle, with a clear separation between guest and service areas. One of the stand-out features on the Custom Line Saetta 128’ is the exclusive upper deck concept, which features a sky lounge with an additional closed salon of around 20m2, located on the same level as the wheelhouse and looking out over a stern terrace, covering a total of 40m2. The terrace, which can be tailored according to the owner’s requirements, has a section shaded by the sundeck superstructure, providing protection without sacrificing the panoramic view. In addition, a large sliding door connects the terrace to the sky lounge, where the salon, surrounded on three sides by windows that can be opened, accentuates the sense of space and freedom.

To the bow, a 25m2 area features a large U-shaped sofa with built-in storage and a sunbathing area transformed by the new deck layout into a refined relaxation and socialising space, with the option of a wellness area with whirlpool tub. Spacious terraces are also features of the 30m2 sun deck, the ideal place for enjoying the sea view in total privacy, with sun loungers and furnishings that allow maximum customisation. The main deck is also design to maximise comfort and create spaces for rest and entertainment. The generous 33-m2 cockpit includes a structural sofa built into the transom. The 40m2 main salon also includes the dining area, creating a refined and functional setting.

On the port side of the salon, the galley can be accessed through a pantry area, while on the starboard side, the lobby leads to the sleeping area and owner’s suite, ensuring optimal distribution between convivial and private areas. The 37m2 owner’s suite has an avant-garde design, with a central bed, a dressing area aft and two bathrooms connected by an extra-large shower cubicle. On the lower deck are four more cabins, three VIP and one Guest, while a mutlifunctional area aft stores two water toys, like a Williams Diesel Jet 565 and jet ski, extending to a beach area on the water line.

The Interior

The interior design concept is shaped by the exterior styling, sleek and powerful lines that express speed, dynamism and energy. This signature feature is translated into furniture with flowing geometries and suspended solutions that are consistent with the exterior architecture: in bespoke furnishings like desks, beds and containers, in the sofas and armchairs with their light-touch and suspended bases, and in the wall panelling and ceilings, framed by an elusive and refined border. The result is a consistent and harmonious whole where volumes and surfaces seem to float, creating a sense of lightness and continuity with the yacht’s silhouette.

Two distinctive moods define the interior concept, each one with its own personality and specific choice of materials. The Perfect Mood is a rich and sophisticated composition: surfaces that make space for chocolate and mocha-coloured lacquer, fine walnut and maple parquet for the floors, white marble such as Sivec, and ivory wallpaper with a three-dimensional texture that captures light and amplifies depth. An extremely refined language that uses carefully refined finishes and techniques to create sophisticated and indulgent settings. The Classic Mood is a more basic and balanced aesthetic, with woods such as oak and wallpapers with a more linear pattern, plus smooth and welcoming surfaces. here the details are measured and the proportions harmonious, creating an overall effect that conveys a sense of warmth and contemporary comfort, while maintaining the brand’s distinctive elegance.

Propulsion and technology

The Custom Line Saetta 128’ is equipped with two  MTU 16V 2000 M96L 2638 MHP engines, reaching a maximum speed of 22 knots, and a cruising speed of 19. At economy cruising speed (11kn), the yacht has an autonomy of 1000 nautical miles, optimising fuel efficiency for extended cruises. The yacht’s planing hull ensures high performance, a perfect balance between power and efficiency. Cruising comfort is optimised by trim interceptors and stabilizer fins and, on request, gyroscopic stabilisers can be installed to further reduce rolling. Cutting-edge technology can also be seen at the helm station, designed to provide an intuitive and technologically advanced piloting experience, ensuring maximum control and safety in all weather conditions.

An important factor is that the yacht can be certified according to IMO Tier III regulations. This certification, obtain by implementing a SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system, reduces nitrogen oxide (Nox) by up to 70%, in line with Ferretti Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability. IMO Tier III regulations are applied to ships operated in designated Emissions Control Areas (ECA), with the aim of improving air quality in coastal areas and ports. Currently under construction, the Custom Line Saetta 128′ will be launched and delivered in 2026 at the Ferreti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona.
