Project 827 by Feadship has come out of the Dutch shipyard’s Amsterdam warehouse, showing off its imposing 71.76m length. Ready for final outfitting and testing, the company’s latest creation’s exterior was designed by Studio De Voogt and FM Architettura for the interior, and naval architecture by Azure Naval Architects.
Project 827: over 70 metres of balance
The silhouette of low gunwales and measured proportions of Project 827 by Feadship transmits compositional balance and elegance, just like in the layout of the interior and exterior spaces: the forwards sun lounge and ample aft platform blend into the generously sized interior spaces, that are also filled with naturally light-filled thanks to their full-height windows.
Natural light, connection and flexibility are the key points of the interior design, aimed at providing a social layout for the 5 decks, one of which is entirely reserved for the owner, a rarity in yachts of this size; this is made possible but the raised position of the wheelhouse, with a panoramic, window-wrapped room, private dining area and hot tub.
The social centre of Project 827 by Feadship is the main deck, with the glassed-in saloon opening out onto a 7m-long pool, surrounded by sun loungers and leading, via a curved staircase, to the platform at water level, connected to an enclosed space for well-being.
Passenger cabins are also located on the main deck and have large windows and higher ceilings, compared to traditional standards: 4 cabins and 2 VIP suites, that can be turned into one, full beam suite.
Another step towards sustainability
Project 827’s propulsion is a new generation diesel-electric system, witness to the unrivalled experience the shipyard has in the field of hybrid innovation, which began with the launch of the Savannah in 2015. A future-oriented approach that in this case combines IMO Tier III standard conforming generators with electric propulsion, for a silent, clean and high performance navigation experience which is also, obviously, sustainable.
