Azimut, with their new Grande Trideck, have taken an unprecedented and audacious path for their flagship. The sculptural and linear elegance of the exterior, curated by Alberto Mancini, remains a distinctive trait, while m2atelier introduced a stylistic language that marks the beginning of a different expression of the Grande series, with another two models making their debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September.
The dedicated concept, Barefoot Luxury, defined by m2atelier for Azimut, embodies the vision of a new generation of yacht owners. The aesthetic takes informal living as a paradigm of contemporary luxury: instinctive, without compromise and profoundly personal.
A new vision for interiors
In the vision of Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli, founders of m2atelier, the language of the interior is warm, measured and essential, defined by pure shapes and carefully selected materials, with rich textures and profoundly tactile. Straight lines dominate the architectural language: horizontal and vertical lines visually expand the space, and diagonals create a welcoming and intimate feeling. The result is a space where balance and precision create a welcoming atmosphere, calm and enveloping, peppered with more distinctive styles in an audacious contrast which inspires curiosity.
The narrative finds its most iconic expression in the Unveiling Wall, a symbol of a fusion between beauty and functionality. This wall combines the artistry of vertical ribbing with a custom designed sliding mechanism which reveals the TV with a flourish. In its carefully studied minimalism, the Unveiling Wall represents the quintessential harmonious contrast of the Grande Trideck’s design, where opposites find a confluence, presenting as a true piece of art. This is the first of a new generation of Feature Walls, simple yet sophisticated elements that will be a part of all future projects between m2atelier and Azimut.
“With m2atelier – explains Federico Lantero, Head of Product Design for Azimut – we wanted to create a new vision of interiors, where each element creates an emotional echo. This is not just a question of elegance, but of creating a space that can evolve alongside those living in it, providing a feeling of calm, alongside sophistication. Grande Trideck expresses this idea: not just a superyacht to enjoy, but to feel”
“Kaleidoscopic” architecture
Throughout the yacht, m2atelier’s creative expression is revealed through a choreography of overlapping layouts and changing perspectives, giving life to a kaleidoscopic architecture. From the carefully aligned patterns in the wood to the play of light and shadow, each element contributes to creating an ample and curated space, that is dynamic yet perfectly composed. With just one look it is easy to read the yacht: from the main saloon to the owner’s suite and the water, an open experience that never sacrifices intimacy. The owner suite itself is a play of overlapping transparency, where glass and vertical partitions expand the space flooding it with natural light.
Light becomes the common language of this aesthetic, guiding perceptions and revealing depth. “For us – explain Marijana Radovic and Marco Bonelli – light is not an accessory, but the silent strength that gives shape to a space, revealing the textures of materials and providing emotional depth to the on board experience. On the Grande Trideck light is the invisible thread that connects all the spaces, highlighting the fluid layout and providing each space with its very own atmosphere. We didn’t want to decorate as much as sculpt the light. With the Grande Trideck, light has become architecture.”
Adaptable space
The forward deck, which now has a pool with integrated chaise longue and a sun lounger with adjustable back, outdoor living reaches new levels of comfort and expression. The Sky Lounge has been redefined as a dynamic oasis for the contemporary owner who does not follow conventional rules. On board the Grande Trideck spaces are easily adapted, transforming an area from relaxing lounge to media room or interior dining room, thanks to a transforming hi-lo table. In line with the integral design approach, ensuring style harmony in all spaces on board the Grande Trideck, the interior includes custom furniture by Giorgetti, one of the most longstanding Italian companies, basied on designs by m2atelier.
