Jo Assael, sales manager for IRI/Marshall Islands Registry, participated in the first edition of the World Yachting Summit in Monaco. While talking to DN, media partner for the event, he spoke about how he was pleasantly surprised about “how data was used to speak more in depth about some of the topics presented.”
Statistics to understand the boating industry
From his point of view, statistics “are the spinal column of the World Yachting Summit” Data “are important – explains Jo Assael to DN – to understand the boating market and the direction we want to take it. Even IRI/Marshall Islands Registry monitors data regarding how vessels are used by their owners, in order to then study the pleasure yachting sector both regionally and globally.”
The sales manager of IRI/Marshall islands Registry notes how important transversal partnerships are among players in this industry, from all points of view, in order to understand the needs in a continuously changing world, and in order to satisfy the needs of yacht owners. Indeed, Jo Assael, during the World Yachting Summit in Monaco, referenced the rising interest in a strategic geographical area such as the United Arab Emirates.
