The 14th iteration of YARE has opened, this event is dedicated to captains of superyachts. This event, running from 13 to 15 March, takes place in the traditional boating district of Tuscany, covering Carrara, Livorno, Viareggio and Versilia, which is where the District Tour, Gala Dinner, Captain’s Night and many other networking events and activities will take place.

The businesses present, including Sanlorenzo, Palumbo Superyacht, and Feadship, just to name a few, will meet with over 120 international captains, with an important delegation arriving from Greece and Turkey, working on sailing and motoryachts from 24 to 90 metres, with most of the representatives working on vessels between 40 and 70 metres. The captains will be involved in the District Tour, which includes three stops along the Tuscan coast and, as always face to face meetings with the businesses during the “B2C Meet the Captains” event which last year, reached over 1600 meetings.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

This edition of YARE begins with the arrival of the international captains in the Tuscan Yachting District. Throughout the day they will be shown interesting locations around the district, with guided tours and informal meetings. On Thursday 14th, the Superyacht Captain’s Forum will begin, organised in partnership with The Superyacht Group, with a presentation of the current superyacht market, and there will be an opportunity for an information and skills exchange on various boating topics.

During the afternoon, the B2C Meet the Captains will be held, with direct meetings between businesses and captains,  managed through the dedicated YARE app allowing participants to select the best target and business for them. Each encounter will last 20 minutes, a perfect amount of time to allow for optimal attention and concentration for both parties, without making the encounter too long. This streamlined yet intense format facilitates a first constructive meeting between commanders and businesses, opening the door to future partnerships and in-depth connections.

Captains have the opportunity to discover more on the latest technology and new systems available on the market that can improve the efficiency, safety and comfort on board their yachts, while businesses can present their products or services directly to the decisionmakers on the yachts, bypassing the more traditional channels thereby reducing the time and costs associated with acquiring clients. At the end of the sessions, all guests are invited to the Networking Gala Dinner, organised in partnership with Seatec/Compotec, a pleasant social opportunity for the participants while they enjoy delicious food in an exclusive location.

Lastly, on 15 March will see the second session of the B2C Meet the Captains, followed by other workshops. In addition, the businesses can sign up to discuss their innovative ideas during the “Pitch Runway” where they will present their future projects and will be evaluated by a jury made up of captains. A special award will be given to the winning business. Closing these three days, will be a second evening event dedicated to the captains and businesses with the aim of networking and fun.
