2021 will be the 43rd edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival

The latest from the Cannes Yachting Festival, ready to reopen with its 43rd edition; a sign of the hope of the exhibitors, who want to come back, meet the public and showcase their latest products. At the moment, there are already 140 premiers, 10% more than the last edition.

After the cancellation of the 2020 show (and the surrounding controversy), this year, the Cannes Boat Show has confirmed the dates: from 7 to 12 September, from Vieux Port to  Port Canto, from one end to the other of the famous Croisette.

The continuing improvement of the pandemic in France and Europe, thanks to the vaccination campaigns, and the reduction in health restrictions announced by the French government are a good sign for the reopening of shows and events starting in June.

Thanks to the new-found hope of those working in the industry, the 2021 Cannes Yachting Festival will showcase around 600 vessels, 430 exhibitors have registered, and there will be over 140 premiers, 10% more than in 2019.

The show will be held in accordance with current health provisions. The organisers are defining the health procedures and the tools for controlling and counting access, in order to follow the regulations set out by the French government. While waiting for approval of the regulation, the presentation of a health pass should become mandatory for visitors intending to participate in the event.

We are working in close partnership – confirms Sylvie Ernoult, director of the Yachting Festival – with the team from the Municipality of Cannes and the Palais des Festivals to welcome exhibitors and visitors in the best manner possible. After a long absence we are impatient and happy to be back in Cannes and already know that our exhibitors have great surprises in store for our visitors.

THE LATEST FROM THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL

The Vieux Port will house 450 motor boats, ranging from 5 to 45 metres, including a number of new products. The show continues with the development of an area reserved for motor multi-hull vessels, with around 15 units ranging from 12 to 29 metres, and a dedicated area on the ground will be reserved for outboard and inboard engines, in order to provide better visibility and comfort for the presentation of smaller and mid-sized items.

In addition, a reserved area will be created for testing, outside the exhibition area, to make it easier to run the tests and to reduce the waves and traffic inside the port, improving safety. Cannes is also planning an area dedicated to electric vessels. There is also the unforgettable Luxury Gallery, an area dedicated to lifestyle, created around luxury brands.

Port Canto will house the second edition of the Sailing Area, which is already looking promising with 108 new vessels, ranging from 10 to 35 metres, single and multi hull, of which 20 are world premiers. Sail boats can be found near the Yacht Brokerage & charter section, bringing together around fifty vessels over 22 metres and a number of toys, for young and old.

Port Canto will also welcome, for the first time, an area dedicated to innovation, with the presentation of a number of start-ups.
