Wider Yachts continues to grow. After the construction of their innovative facilities in Fano (province of Pesaro-Urbino, Marches) the Italian shipyard, moving forward with their desire for innovation, have also decided to bolster their governance, by welcoming one of the pioneers of luxury boating. Marcello Maggi, president of W-Fin Sarl, the holding company owning 100% of Wider’s capital, has stipulated an agreement with Norberto Ferretti, who has taken on the prestigious role of honorary president of the shipyard.

Leading the new Board of Directors is Massimo Iacono, who was already a part of the previous Board. This partnership with Norberto Ferretti represents a significant boost in terms of skill and ability, in harmony with the objectives for the relaunch and development of the company already outlined by Marcello Maggi and the company CEO, also a part of the new Board, Fabio Fraternale.

A NAME, A GUARANTEE

Co-founder in 1968, alongside his brother, Alessandro, of the established brand, Ferretti Yachts, Norberto Ferretti brings with him loads of experience which will be a determining factor in the development of future yachts, working alongside Marcello Maggi on the Product Development Committee, as well as future growth strategies for the shipyard. “I am very pleased – said Marcello Maggi – that our paths cross once again. Norberto Ferretti’s skills in the field of product development are priceless and his authoritative presence shows us how important the Wider brand truly is, and this is the brand I have decided to invest in in the international boating industry.”

Satisfaction for this new role was also expressed by the co-founder of Ferretti Yachts. What fascinates me the most about Wider – noted Norberto Ferretti – is their pioneering attitude. Here, tomorrow isn’t an unknown, but a starting point. The relaunch the company has undergone in the last few years has been stimulating. I am ready to contribute to help define the products and technology of this shipyard.”

Welcoming the arrival of Norberto Ferretti was also  the CEO of Wider Yachts, Fabio Fraternale. I am very happy – said Fraternale – that Norberto Ferretti is working with us; in my previous experience with his group, he was a solid point of reference and an important mentor for me.

PROJECTS UNDER WAY

2024 will be an exciting year for Wider, which is preparing to launch two highly anticipated new models: the WiderCat 92, a catamaran created alongside Luca Dini, using the latest in serial hybrid propulsion, and the provocative WiLder 60, created by the Wider Style Team and ready to provide exciting navigation experiences.  Created using of processes from building superyachts, and refined with the best Italian artistry, the WiLder 60 combines the agility of a chase boat with the comfort of a performance cruiser: a singular vessel created for fun.
