In the splendid setting of the Guildhall in London, during the night of the Boating Oscars, the jury awarded “Best Displacement Yacht under 40 metres” to the RSY38m EXP M/Y Emocean, the first yacht built by Rosetti Superyachts, with exterior design, naval architecture and engineering by Sergio Cutolo’s Hydro Tec.

The design came about from the requirement of an expert and passionate couple, who wanted their yacht to give them versatility and quality in terms of safety and navigation, who wanted a real explorer yacht, combined with a luxury yacht with particular attention in regards to the environment, and which was also compatible with the modern life of a young couple. Among their other requests was the desire to take long trips and spend a long time without having to come ashore.

Among the finalists were also another two designs curated by Hydro Tec: the Darwin 115 built by Cantiere delle Marche and the Columbus Sport 50m M/Y K2 built by Columbus Yachts. The Darwin 115, with exterior design and naval architecture by Hydro Tec, was designed to sail for thousands of miles every year, it has an extremely robust hull, an autonomy of 5 thousand miles and a capacity of 55,400 litres of diesel. It is a part of the Darwin Series.

The Columbus Sport 50 metre M/Y K2 has an aluminium hull and superstructure. with a gross tonnage under 500 GT. Thanks to its maximum draught of 2.2 metres, it is singular on the market, capable of sailing in shallow waters; It comes from the naval engineering of Palumbo Superyachts in partnership with Hydro Tec.

Only a year after winning with Aurelia, the first Flexplorer built by Cantiere delle Marche at the World Superyacht Awards 2021, Hydro Tec has therefore consolidated its success by receiving, for the second year in a row, this important award, and confirming its place as one of the most versatile studios in the world.
