Wally presented for the first time in the world at the  Miami Yacht Show the new, powerful and elegant outboard cruiser, the  48 Wallytender X. The new model, in the wake of the success of its predecessor, the 48 Wallytender, was created to integrate the best in high performance and comfort.

Thanks to the on-board interceptor system, which can lower the bow so as to enter the wave with a deadrise of 80º, high speed sailing in a stormy sea is actually comfortable. The choice of using such an efficient navigation system has made it so that Wally is consistently at the top in the industry for manoeuvrability in its vessels.

Motorised with four Verado R racing engines of 450 CV by Mercury, the 48 Wallytender X has shown in its preliminary tests at sea,  a maximum speed of  55 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots, with a range of 320nm, which can be extended to 350nm at 36 knots.

These engines, researched scrupulously by Wally, are the lightest and most efficient outboards in terms of consumption on the market, with the best power-weight ratio. The high speeds reached and the low consumption registered can also be attributed to a careful design of the hull and its materials and shape.

In addition to the advantages in performance, the new boat is easy to navigate and relaxing, thanks to noise and vibration reduction, it is also easy to maintain.  The propulsion system is also equipped with joystick user-friendly controls to simplify any type of manoeuvre.

A challenge, for owners who have chosen outboard engines, could be accessing the stern. To resolve this problem, Wally has opted to distribute the engines on the sides with two on each side, installing a retractable hydraulic ladder for direct and easy access from the water or shore.

The interior and exterior are curated in minute detail. The layout of the deck is comfortable and welcoming, with seating areas,a sundeck and table for eating. Also in this case are the stern doors which open to the side, creating the feeling of having a “beach” which is a typical layout for Wally.

Inside is everything that the owner who has chosen this type of vessel will need. The suite  on the lower deck is spacious and elegant, with a planking level in carbon fibre and furniture and panels in teak, together with a bathroom with shower and a kitchen.

“It is a day boat – explains to Liguria Nautica Luca Bassani, the founder of Wally – dedicated to all of those who prioritise going out to sea without renouncing, obviously, to all the necessary comforts that Wally provides with all its vessels. We are very proud of what we have achieved with the  48 Wallytender X”.

“We were able to  – concludes Bassani – maintain our strong aesthetic identity for Wally and the many practical characteristics already present on the base model, perfectly adapted to satisfy the needs of clients who prefer the outboard experience in their boating lifestyle, including top speed and high performance together with unrivalled seakeeping“.
